Each company vaeris, and I know there is a bigger push to keep kids on insurance longer, but thats because kids are in college longer. Once they are no longer full time students they can not be on your insurance. I just recently graduated and haven't gotten a full time job so I have no insurance. My parents insurance would cover me until I was 26 if I was a full time student. Im not aware of any company that would vary from this, but I would contact either a benefit administrator or HR person at your company or with the insurance company directly to get more details.

You have to have your insurance and dotocr change your address in their records. I got my own insurance and live on my own. The insurance has my new address but the dotocr didnt. So I had to make sure both were changed.

Sure, pay for the visit out of pocket, isaetnd of using insurance. The policyholder (your father) will get an explanation of benefits, showing the doctor charge. If you're NOT a dependent of your father, you should have your OWN coverage. As long as he's covering you and both of you are agreeing that you are his dependent (otherwise, you wouldn't be using HIS insurance!), he's entitled to this info.

It really deendps on your current situation. Most insurance companies require high deductibles, co-payments and out-of-pocket maximum. The best insurance I had was through an employer who were self-insured and under PPO. If you are trying to get private insurance (not through your employer), depending on which state you reside, ob-gyn and pregnancy is usually not covered. If this is the case, try using an insurance broker who can find you the best plans at the best rates that meet your needs.

helen that's like posting G.P's are ginvig up their $ 1/2 million dollar medical practices to protest health care insurance legislation. are the GP's going to join MLB and play for the yankees ? if insurance companies pay a dividend that the share holders are happy with, why would they just close down. no business would close down simply cause they wanted more profits.

Agreed with the first person on sniyatg in the Alps. The Dolomites in Italy that's my favorite, it's unearthly beautiful. And since its so far north, it almost doesn't seem like Italy anymore, but Switzerland, or even Germany. And while at it, why not Switzerland? It has the best of both (three!) worlds, with national languages of German, Italian, and French Switzerland is one of my favorite countries in this world. And since it's entirely in the middle of the Alps, you'll be guarenteed some snow. Try Lake Geneva or Lake Como, or Bern I've never been to Bern, but hear amazing things about it, all younger people I know who go there, love it. And I belive it's a german speaking town?

I'm amazed at my non-Italian frnieds who feast on lasagna, ravioli and other heavy Italian dishes often, these are foods my family in the States and Italy eat only during a holiday (other than potato gnocchi or polenta (or risotto) which in the north are alternatives to pasta and always eaten in much smaller quantities than in the States). Portions are much smaller in Italy hence not presenting a weight problem. I've found that the daily Italian table is very Spartan, the usual presentation being a light soup (three or four pieces of pasta included), a light salad, a lightly sauced pasta (small quantity), roasted chicken or pan-fried minute steaks served with lemon slices, bread, wine In Sicily fish many times takes the place of poultry, pork, lamb or beef. Let's not forget though that during the holidays multi course meals will go on for three or more hours and a little bit of over eating is appreciated. Some of the best food in Italy is to be found not in the big cities but in very small towns or villages where small eateries must present tastes like home cooking and DO, if not the establishments would close down. In a small town's restaurant one is eating Mamma's food, not a chef's. Also in the small towns one experiences the true local cucina at reasonable prices along with a chance to socialize with wonderful people. Hint: Sometimes in villages there is no sign announcing the presence of a restaurant, in that the establishment is meant for locals there's no need to put up a sign being all know where to find it, many times restaurants are in a room off the local bar. Remember that a bar in Italy isn't as the American ones, they should be called pubs being they cater to families . Now if someone would answer me as to how Sicilian women who are mostly ever-so-thin can eat on a daily bases those huge Sicilian pastries for breakfast without weight problems? Thank you Letizia for the article! P.S. I've found that my younger cousins in the north of Italy will sometimes use packaged convenience foods but yet are still experts in the traditional kitchen and as good at the stove as their mothers and grandmothers.

Rodney is afraid of his own party As was potenid out by Rep. Lance in a recent Star Ledger Article he [Lance] was told they (The R's) would find someone to run against him in next years primary. And I would bet Rodney has been told the same thing toe the line and speak only the talking points. Too bad. Rodney and the rest of the R's are quoting statistics provided by Heritage Foundation (very Right Wing Conservative and another is a subsidiary of United Health, no bias there)We need a public option and we should be looking at the approach used by Germany, or France, or the Swiss. No one in those countries go without heath coverage, no one dies because of a lack of insurance (45,000 in U.S. every year according to Harvard Study and Journal of Medicine, no one files for bankruptcy because of medical costs (700,000 plus in this Country every year). The free market [the question here is what free market when it comes to the health insurance market ; Adam Smith is laughing at us from the grave) has done damage to the country. The R's should be worried as the cost of insurance pushes jobs over seas or if the company can't move operations over seas then they just reduce or in many cases just drops the health insurance coverage. Then again as long as their (The R's) major contributors and the Chamber of Commerce is happy they don't really care. For 60-years , since Truman ,. who had started to push for universal health in 1947/48, the R's and the insurance industry have blocked any attempt to level the playing field. And today they the insurance companies are fat , dumb and happy with their ever expanding profits. Now if they could only figure out how to cut back on Medicare or even eliminate it they could die happy. The question is what type of country or society do we want to live in? The other major industrial counties in the world made that moral decision years ago now can we make the same moral decision and then move forward with a fair and equitable plan that protect not only those who can afford to pay but also the weakest and poorest in our society. I wonder if Rodney has the stomach or the courage to do just that and not worry about the next election or what his party thinks.
